Getting started

Thanks to Ausfrag's custom theme, the TCAdmin user interface is simple and fairly straight forward. However we'll go into the specific details of each panel later.

Managing your game server

By clicking on the "Game services" button you will be brought to the follow page (Page will look different depending on the game you're managing). If you have multiple game servers, you will be taken to a list, simply click on the game server you wish to manage.

From this panel you're able to perform taks such as starting, stopping and restarting your server as well as being given live resource statistics.

Configuration Files - Easily manage and edit the core configuration files to your server. Either by a raw text editor or by an optimised property editor.

Commandline Manager - Allows you to set which server files and configurations to boot from.

Mod manager - Easily install server mods with the click of a button. (CraftBukkit, Tekkit, etc)

File manager - Powerful online file editor. Easily upload, download and edit files on the fly right from your web browser!

Log viewer - Browse through your server log. Very useful for troubleshooting.

Web console - View your servers live console and execute commands from it.

Current activity and stats - View your servers current and recent CPU, RAM and bandwidth usage statistics.

File manager
If you want to quickly edit, upload or download a file TCAdmin's file manager provides a powerful UI for doing a series of tasks. For repetitive file editing we recommend using an FTP client, but that will be explained in another tutorial.

Web console
From here you're able to completely control your server. You're able to view server message and execute commands.

Commandline manager
The commandline manager allows you to easily add startup configurations. This is useful for installing things such as CraftBukkit, FTB and Tekkit.

Mod manager
The mod manager allows you to install server mods with the click of a button. This is useful for installing Mods such as CraftBukkit, Tekkit or any other mods that are offered for other games.

To update a mod, all you need to do is click "uninstall" and then reinstall it again! An uninstall only removes the jar file, the rest of your server files remain untouched!

Managing your voice server

By clicking on the "Voice services" button you will be brought to the follow page. If you have multiple voice servers, you will be taken to a list, simply click on the voice server you wish to manage.

From this panel you're able to perform taks such as starting, stopping and restarting your server as well as being given liv statistics.

Unlike managing game servers, the voice servers are almost plug 'n' play, there are only a few things you'll need to change.

Configuration files
There are only two configuration files you may need to change, the general server configuration and the SuperUser password.

Sub users

One of the great features of the TCAdmin control panel is the ability to create sub users. This allows you to create extra accounts for people so that they're able to help manage your server. The system is designed so you can assign a user only certain permissions and access to your server.

To start, click on "Create Sub user" in the control panel's homepage.

Permissions:

When giving a user access, you mostly likely don't want to give them full access, (e.g. to the hard reinstall option), thankfully, the control panel has you covered. Simply check and uncheck the permissions you want the user to and not to have. When you're done creating the user, click "Save"

Managing your sub users:

This allows you to quickly edit all of your sub users. When clicking in their username, it will bring you to the page you saw when creating the user. As you can see you're able to suspend accounts and then re-active them whenever you like.

That just about raps up the game panel tutorial! If you have any troubles or suggestions feel free to post them below or contact us on IRC!
